Taekwon-Do is a popular martial art originating in Korea. "Tae" means to jump or kick with the foot, "Kwon" means to punch with the hand or fist, and "Do" means art or way. It's great for fitness, flexibility, self-defense, improving self-confidence, and is loads of fun!
The Otago University ITF Taekwon-Do Club caters primarily to Otago University and Polytech students, though we welcome non-students as well. The club has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Students are encouraged to do their best, improve fitness, and have fun through Taekwon-Do.
We regularly attend tournaments, seminars, camps and social events throughout the year and we are affiliated to International Taekwon-Do (ITFNZ).
