Schedule Update

Instead of Tuesdays, trainings will now be on Mondays from 4 to 6 pm for the rest of the year.

2013 Semester 1 Schedule

For the first two weeks of the semester (25 February - 8 March), training times are Tuesdays from 4 - 5:30 and Fridays 5 - 7 in the Activities Hall in the OUSA Clubs and Societies Centre. The permanent schedule for the rest of the year will be confirmed at the beginning of March, but will most likely be the same as the preliminary schedule.

Club Members medal at Nationals

The ITKD national tournament was held on the 20th and 21st of October in Palmerston North. Club members Ana Rakonjac and Dean Jenkins both won medals! Ana won a silver in lightweight sparring and a bronze in 2nd dan patterns. Dean won gold in middle/heavy weight veterans sparring.


Best Overall Club!

After lots of training and an exciting South Island Regional Tournament on the 26th and 27th of May, our club walked away from the tournament with the best overall club trophy, as well as best male team, best female team, and best overall red belt! It was a great tournament and all of the competitors earned medals. Photos and videos coming soon!


Class Time Change!

We have changed the class time from Tuesdays to Mondays from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. The change is effective from Monday the 4th of March.

Welcome Back!

Classes officially start on Tuesday the 28th of February. This is the best time for beginners to start, though it's possible to join any time during the year. The first two weeks are free! Come along and give Taekwon-Do a go!

Also a big welcome back to everyone from last year!

Instructor Graded to 2nd Dan

Ana Rakonjac has recently graded to 2nd dan! Black belt gradings are fairly grueling, weekend-long endeavors and require months of preparation. Something to look forward to for all you coloured belts!
